As you know, we love Etta Photography and we also LOVE a party that has a soul-FULL twist with lots of love and extra special planning. When we saw this ‘brown paper, string and princesses’ party that Maddie had beautifully prepared for her daughter’s 3rd birthday we were instantly in LOVE!
A party that incorporates handmade elements, recycling of pre owned objects and the attitude that ‘the less purchased the better’ is high on our list of ideal celebrations! Its so nice to see that other Mums are also placing such huge LOVE and importance into the planning process too, involving the special birthday child and resisting that urge for everything to be shiny, new and perfect!
We love the team spirit in preparing the elements of the party, allowing the birthday girl to assist with packing goodies and combining Mum’s passions with the very common wish for a princess party! The soft, dreamy style of photography that we just adore about Maddie’s work is so perfect for the soft pink and brown paper styling here!
Add to all of this the environmentally friendly approach (a great way to teach our children and inspire by example), the healthy AND beautiful food and the budget friendly minimal expenses and we are smitten! In fact this could be one of our favourite parties of 2011!
